juggle - Cosquin

Good hard week, kinda long, but some good spiritual jewels in there. I'll share one.

We've been teaching a man recently who has a lot of health problems, and spends a lot of time in the hospital, but he's got a good attitude. We visited him this week, which sometimes is hard to do because his hospital schedule is somewhat irregular. After talking with us, he mentioned that he feels lighter and not as worried after talking to us, and he doesn't feel as much pain. Just a nice little experience showing that the Spirit of the Lord helps those who need it and are open to receiving it. Love you all, go to church.

ale-alejandro - Cosquin

What a weeeeeeeeek

There's a lot to tell but I'll just tell two great stories.

First one has to do with how God is aware of our struggles. My companion and I have had a lot of problems recently with finding new people to teach. We started really digging through the old lists of people that have been taught like 3 years ago, but stopped progressing for one reason or another. We were going around looking for one, and once we got there, a man answered the door, said that the guy we were looking for wasn't home, but then said he was actually a member already and invited us in. We had a great visit, but the part that really stuck out to me was that recently a friend from his work passed away. He talked to the man's wife, who commented (for some reason or another) that she wanted him to find her a Book of Mormon, because she had heard that it talks about Christ in the Americas and eternal families. This man (who hasn't been to church in YEEEEEEEARS) said that he would try to get one for her. Fast-forward 3 days, and guess which two tie-and-plaque-wearing showed up at his house with a Book of Mormon ready to give? us. God is aware of our struggles and will help us do the right thing and use others to answer our prayers.

Other story comes to you from Cruz del Eje for a District Conference. I needed to go to this conference to play piano for the choir, and I was STOKED because it meant that I would be able to see all the members from Dean Funes (one of my old areas) that were able to attend. I go, and tons show up, it was so fun to see them all, they seemed good and happy, they said I speak Spanish better, and I look taller and fatter. RIP. ANYWAYS I LOVED seeing Ezekiel and Alejandro, whose baptisms I was able to be a part of way back when. I did the actual ordinance for Alejandro. Good to see them again.

ANYWAYS, Alejandro is 21 years old, and since it was a district conference, it was the opportunity for the people to show their favor in him receiving the Melchizedek Priesthood. After the conference he was about to receive the Priesthood, and I was casually peeking through the window to watch it happen, when all of the sudden they told me I was needed in the room so I'm like "Oh sweet maybe I'll be able to be a part of the circle, cool" but then they ask "Do you remember how to start it?" Alejandro asked ME to give him the Priesthood! SO SO SO COOL. Honestly one of the coolest and spiritual experiences I've had in my mission, to be able to give the Higher Priesthood to the same person I was able to baptize. It was so great how all the timing worked out for that to happen, I'm super grateful for it.

Luv ya

train - Cosquin

Good week
We had a conference with Elder De Hoyos of the Seventy. He shared a lot of great advice for missionary work. Really great. It's also always a great time to see some familiar faces.

Not much to say this week, I'll let the pics speak for themselves, but I just wanted to say that I LOVE being a missionary. That's not to say that it's always fun or easy, but I do genuinely love and appreciate the moments that I'm able to see my own progress, and most importantly, the progress of the people I meet. I love how the Gospel is able to help people once they allow Christ to come into their lives. HE LIVES!

Love you all, have a great week!

good week in Cosquín

great week, some highlights

halloween was fun, the whole center of the city was packed with little kids dressed up as vampires and clowns and witches and stuff. really cool.

other cool thing that happened, on Saturday we were on our way to an appointment, and there were some guys unloading concrete bricks from a truck. we asked if they needed help, they said sure. we talked to them as we unloaded with them, talked a bit about the church, but mainly just got to know them. afterwards, they gave a genuine thanks, and invited us to an asado (Argentine bbq) the next day. we said sure, and the next day, in the afternoon, we were debating going or not, because we were pretty busy, very tired, and it wouldn't be the first time people didnt come through on their promises of an asado :)

we decided to try our faith and go. We were able to teach an unplanned lesson, then when we got to the house, the fam said "EYYYYYYY YOURE LATE!" they had the whole meal already prepped and some had already eaten! We go inside and have a fantastic meal all together, get to know these great people, and were able to teach the Restoration to the whole family. They were super attentive and asked great questions. We're going back next week to watch the Restoration video and eat all together.

Had a great game of futbol with the young men and quorum members on saturday. good times

The Church is true everyone! go read the Book of Mormon and you'll see! have a great week!
