Hey there! Sorry last week's email was so short, I need to manage my time better with the new video call changes! So crazy!
Dean Funes is really cool, just a little less weird than Catamarca, but very similar, about the same size. I've met a lot of great families, and we're working hard to try to strengthen them and their testimonies.
My first Sunday here, I got to give the Sunday school class for the adults, using the Ven Sigueme (Come Follow Me) Manual and it was really great. I talked about Jesus curing the son of the noble, and his first miracle of turning water to wine, and I talked about the importance and nature of faith. A lot of people, especially the people here, think that faith is belief only. And its not. When Jesus turned the water to wine, he could've just done it, but Mary tells the servants to do everything Jesus says, and then the miracle is done. We need to take ACTION to show our faith. Faith without works is dead.
Sometimes people think that faith that something will happen is just having a strong desire, but that isn't true either. The nobleman obviously wanted his son to be healed, but it wasn't until he took action to talk to Jesus, and TRUST in His word that he was healed that the miracle was performed. Faith is based on belief, desire, trust in the Lord, and ACTION on our part. The Lord will consecrate our efforts when we act in faith.
Love you guys, don't forget who you are!
Everyone has a special one... Even Michael!
